The Elmet Partnership:

LEA Direct and The Elmet Family of Schools share a highly innovative approach to service development. The creation of the partnership brought together the skills and resources of the supply pools across the schools involved, together with the expertise of LEA Direct.

The result is an efficient and cost-effective Teacher Placement Service that maximises the contribution of supply teachers and reduces the administrative burdens faced by Partnership schools. The process is managed by a dedicated Service Consultant, ensuring ownership for local schools.

Direct Solutions:

LEA Direct is working in partnership with Warwickshire County Council to develop a new approach for the provision of managed teacher supply services. Direct Solutions has been established as the new partnership brand for the recruitment and retention of teachers, and the supply staffing service for Warwickshire schools, this new partnership brand is wholly owned by Warwickshire county council.

Supply teaching staff have been transferred from the existing supply list to the newly formed Direct Solutions brand and this has enabled the service to be revitalised in a number of ways:

	Management of the LEA supply list
	Cost effective solution to traditional supply agencies
	New teachers have been recruited to expand the teacher database
	Improved access to continuous professional development opportunities
	Introduction of a dedicated locally based contract support team
	Ongoing service review and evaluation systems
	Quality assurance management systems have been introduced
	A Supply Teacher Handbook has been produced
	Introduction of an on-site, contract support team
	The creation of a supply staff community

The Education Brokerage:

Through our sister company Supply Desk, LEA Direct is working closely with the Education Brokerage, a partnership of 8 Local Education Authorities, to provide dedicated assistance in the purchase and provision of services to schools in the Lancashire area.

The Education Brokerage aim to provide best value for schools, through evaluation of suppliers and endorsement of high quality services. In order to achieve a star rating through the brokerage, education providers must undergo extensive checks and stringent vetting procedures to ensure compliance with the high standards of the brokerage.
